In researching information about your topic there are five criteria that you should take into consideration. The five criteria are

  1. Currency
  2. Relevance
  3. Authority
  4. Accuracy
  5. Purpose

Currency is how current your information is to your topic, people research everyday and you need the correct information for your topic.

Relevance means is the information you choose relevant to your topic or not.

Authority is the credibilty the author has in writing a topic

Accuracy means if the information is current and up to date

Purpose means is the information bias or does it tells everything related to your topic
