I just hugged the man who murdered my son

This story interested me because usually when a person’s child get mudered by someone else there is no such thing as forgiveness. Yet in this story, this young man killed her son and was sentence to prison for second degree murder. When the young man’s prison sentence was up the mother of the child broke down crying in the courtroom and he held her because of the good things she told him about her son. After the sentence the two of them became really close, so close that they stay next door to each other and everything that she didn’t do with her biological son she hopes to do it with him.

who did this project? Oshea Israel and Mary Johnson

For what purpose? I think the purpose is to teach familys that you can forgive someone who has killed a family member even though it may take time.

For what audience? People who has lost a member of the family through homicide.
